For this week’s reading task we had to make a KWL (A KWL is what you know, What you wonder, and what you learnt ) chart about aliens. The questions that I put was what do I know? What do I wonder? and what I learned? And an interesting fact  that I learnt was that The United States, Russia, France, and the United Kingdom have all released documents and reports on UFOs, showing that this phenomenon is of global interest.

This week for our reading class we had to create a collector card about LeBron James or Michael Phelps I chose LeBron James. Here is a the collector card about LeBron James.

Our goal for this task is making connections between texts and own life experiences, using more sophisticated texts. I made this poster really bright and bold to make it pop. i added his name and facts about him and his past also his family.

Hello and welome back to my blog. For the past 3 weeks we have been learning about the Treaty of Waitangi. We need to learn about it because we live in New Zealand. A long time ago people wanted to come and live here and take the land from Maori who were all ready here.

Here our 3 links to task that I had to complete Link 1  Link 2  Link 3 we had to Figure out 9 task and complete them all. i learnt more about the treaty now that i finished those tasks some of the tasks were a bit hard and some were more easy to finish. I learnt when cation cook can go to new Zealand he arrived in New Zealand in 1769.

This term for my hubs PBL we had to make an island or create something on mindcraft.

The rocks on my island are called metamorphic rocks which are made from rock under extreme temperatures.  The soil loamy soil is made up of sand silt and a small bit of clay. The air that is on my island is called the troposphere this means plants and also creatures can breathe on the fishing mans paradise. The island has a freshwater river so the inhabitants of the island can drink. The mountains have sedimentary rocks on it. Sedimentary rocks are made up of little rocks.

Hi and this week for writing our hub had to make a twitter post about staying healthy. I have made a post myself i wrote a little blurb about eating healthy and staying strong. You had to make a user name and then write your sentence and then you can put how many people have seen your post after that you can put a profile.

Last week for my reading I had to create a food plan for breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert, as well as some snacks. I put a picture on each slide of what the food is and I wrote a suggestion of a healthy food. Here is my learning goal: think while reading, pick up new information, and come up with new ideas and new thinking. I have created a DLO on a slide here is my DLO. LINK

What is your favourite thing on my menu?

For the last four weeks of Term 3 we were learning about How we can be Champions on Peace.  Firstly we learnt about the different symbols of peace. Some of these are The peace sign and the ying yang.

These symbols represent peace. The peace sign originated from flag signals meaning nuclear disarmament.  The Yin and Yang evolved into the idea that all things in the universe exist as inseparable and contradictory opposites.

With these symbols in mind I created a Peace Artwork.

 

 

 

My Peace Artwork represents peace because I wrote the piece word because the artwork is about peace  and then I put a flower in the corner because the flower represents showing peace and a beautiful flower. I put a gun shooting out roses and then I coloured all of that in and it looks really cool(attach peace artwork here).

We also researched some real life champions of peace and wrote a short biography.

I wrote about the champion of peace I thought this person was a champion of peace because he fought against segregation.

We also created a peace prayer book. I have attached my peace prayer book here.

I enjoyed learning about peace because it can really help me and make every one way more happier I learnt that there are lots of things that we can do to be peace makers such as being nice to your friends.
